Administrative Assistance at the European Research Council

I worked at the European Research Council, first as a trainee, afterwards as an administrative assistant, in the unit A1 Support to the ERC Scientific Council.

My tasks included:

• Retrieval and analysis of grantees data and altmetrics. Publications, awards and other recognitions of ERC grantees are available on the web – distributed on various websites and provided in a heterogeneous manner. I developed software to retrieve such information and analyzed the results.

• Science communication of research highlights of grantees. The ERC communicates highlights of the findings of its grantees to the public. My task was to present such highlights on slides and press articles.

• Open science and data sharing. Along with the open science movement, the ERC is committed to more data sharing among researchers. I assisted meetings with open science stakeholders from academia, industry and politics, and analyzed the current status of open science within the ERC.
